Monique Smit made the cut on the number on Friday in the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open on the Ladies European Tour, her bogey on the 18th seeing her finish on one-under 71 and two-over for the 54-hole tournament ahead of the final round.

Stacy Bregman was not as fortunate, with bogeys on 16 and 17 putting her final-round participation in jeopardy from which not even a final-hole birdie could rescue her.

Lejan Lewthwaite improved on her opening round of five-over 77 with a level-par round two, but she too missed the cut.

The tournament is led by Finland’s Sanna Nuutinen on 10-under, with Wales’ Amy Boulden and Maha Haddioui of Morocco in a share of second one stroke back.
