The second round of the Open de Portugal on the European Tour was badly disrupted by severe weather conditions on Friday, and it will resume on Saturday morning in an attempt to catch up with the scheduled play.
South African left-hander Garrick Higgo was one-under through six recorded holes to remain in second place behind Portugal’s Vitor Lopes, but he had closed the gap by two strokes as the local player had dropped a shot through his opening three holes.
Last week’s European Tour winner, George Coetzee, had yet to start his second round.
Jbe’ Kruger had dropped three strokes and slipped to a share of 53rd, but he still had nine holes to go in his second round.
