As the weather-stricken Open de Portugal on the European struggles to make up lost time, Garrick Higgo remains in the hunt just two shots off the pace going into Sunday play of the third round.

He carded a second-round two-under-par 70 when he was able to complete that on Saturday, and was at level-par through three holes when play was suspended in the third round. The tournament is led by England’s Nathan Kinsey and Andrew Wilson together with first-round leader Vitor Lopes of Portugal eight-under.

George Coetzee will resume the third round on Sunday three shots off the pace, while Jbe’ Kruger’s second-round 78 saw him miss the cut.
