Even though he shot the low round of the day at seven-under 64 and finished the Shriners Hospital for Children Open on 16-under-par, Louis Oosthuizen was able to finish no higher than in a share of 19th in a low-scoring event on the PGA Tour.

Scot Martin Laird won a three-way play-off with Austin Cook and Matthew Wolff of the United States after the three finished on a staggering 23-under-par, seven shots ahead of Oosthuizen who made five birdies and an eagle in a blemish-free round.

Oosthuizen’s third round was probably the reason he didn’t get closer to the top of the leaderboard. He carded a level-par 71 while there was a pair of 63s and a couple of 64s out there.

Dylan Frittelli had a quiet weekend after moving to 11-under-par ahead of the cut. A pair of one-under 70s saw him finish on 13-under, 10 back and in a share of 34th.
