Ashleigh Buhai had a brilliant start to the final round of the LPGA Drive On Championship at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia, as she closed with a three-under-par 69 to finish in a share of 69th.
The tournament was won by Ally McDonald of the United States, who held off countrywoman Danielle Kang by one stroke at 16-under-par for her maiden LPGA Tour victory.
Buhai began her round on the 10th, having battled her way through the second and third rounds with scores of two-over 74 and five-over 77 respectively. She immediately went to work, making three consecutive birdies from the 11th to the 13th, before dropping a shot on the 15th. But she kept right on going, with birdies on 16 and 18 to turn in four-under 32.
After the turn, things quietened down for her, and she was unable to add to her birdie tally, instead dropping another stroke on the par-four seventh. She finished at four-over for the tournament.
