Dylan Frittelli was on level-par 70 after the first round of the Vivint Houston Open on the PGA Tour was suspended for darkness at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas.
That put him in a share of 29th behind Brandt Snedeker who carded a five-under 65 to lead by two from a group of six players consisting of Cameron Davis, Michael Thompson, Scottie Scheffler, Harold Varner III, Carlos Ortiz and Jason Day.
Erik van Rooyen was one-over, together with Branden Grace in a share of 44th. Justin Harding and Dawie van der Walt hadn’t completed their rounds at the suspension, and were both one-over through 16 holes. Charl Schwartzel was on two-over in 63rd.
Snedeker shot a five-under 65 in the afternoon to take a two-stroke lead in the last event before the Masters. He’s one of 37 players in the field this week set to play at Augusta National. Frittelli, Harding, Schwartzel and Van Rooyen are amongst those players.
