Branden Grace made six birdies and two bogeys on Friday in the second round of the RSM Classic on the PGA Tour in Georgia to move up the leaderboard into a share of 42nd place and earn himself a spot in the weekend’s action.
Grace opened with a level-par 70, but climbed 22 spots with his efforts, and joined former South African Rory Sabbatini in making the cut. The tournament is being led at 14-under-par by Robert Streb, who has a one-stroke edge over Camilo Villegas. Sabbatini, who was second after the opening round, carded a level-par total in his second.
Charl Schwartzel, Louis Oosthuizen and Dylan Frittelli missed the cut.
