Louis Oosthuizen made just one bogey in his second round on Friday to climb into a share of 10th in the World Golf Championships-Workday Championship at The Concession in Bradenton, Florida.

The 2010 Open champion carded a four-under-par 68 to move to seven-under at the halfway mark in the tournament, four behind the leader, former world number one, Brooks Koepka. Koepka’s 66 left him one stroke ahead of Australia’s Cameron Smith, who also signed for a 66 to share second with Billy Horschel and Collin Morikawa of the United States.

Oosthuizen had pars all the way until the sixth, where he picked up his first birdie with a 21-footer on the par-three. A great 96-yard pitch in to the par-five seventh left him with just more than five feet for birdie, and he sank that too.

He picked up birdies on 10, 12 and 17 too, with the 19-foot putt which brought him the birdie on 12 being particularly impressive as he averaged 1.434 strokes gained putting on the rest of the field. He was pretty accurate off the tee, too, hitting 85.71 percent of the fairways.

Behind him, Christiaan Bezuidenhout carded a level-par 72 to reach one-under for the tournament in a share of 35th in the 72-man field. Brandon Stone went three-over in the second round, dropping to a share of 49th at one-over. Erik van Rooyen was one worse than Stone with his 75, and found himself in a share of 54th.

Both Daniel van Tonder and JC Ritchie improved in their second rounds to one-over 73, with Van Tonder in a share of 65th with Bubba Watson on five-over, and Ritchie on seven-over in 67th with Bernd Wiesberger.
