Charl Schwartzel closed the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic on Sunday with a three-over-par 73 to finish in a share of 53rd place behind winner Matt Jones of Australia.
Jones was on 12-under-par for a five-stroke victory over Brandon Hagy of the United States, and Schwartzel was on three-over.
Erik van Rooyen closed with a five-over 75 to finish six-over for the tournament in 60th place.
On the Symetra Tour, Paula Reto made four birdies and three bogeys for a closing one-under 71 in the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic for a share of 29th behind winner Riuxin Liu of China.
Liu was on 17-under for the tournament which put her in a play-off with amateur Rose Zhang of the United States. Liu won on the second play-off hole. Reto was on four-under for the tournament.
On the Korn Ferry Tour, Dawie van der Walt was one-over in the final round, his 72 seeing him finish in a share of 33rd.
The tournament was won by Mexico’s Roberto Diaz at 18-under, 12 strokes clear of Van der Walt
