It’s been a while, and Haydn Porteous will enjoy playing the weekend in the European Tour’s Made in HimmerLand after he carded a second-round three-under-par 68 on Friday.
That moved him to five-under for the tournament at the halfway mark, and while that’s six off the pace being set by Austria’s Bernd Wiesberger, it’s also an indication of a change in fortunes after a long dry period for the two-time European Tour winner.
Fellow South African Mathiam Keyser was also on five-under after 36 holes after a superb second round of seven-under 64. Also making the cut was Brandon Stone, who needed a six-under 66 to make the weekend at three-under.
Justin Harding and Wilco Nienaber missed the cut.
