Justin Harding clung to the upper reaches of the leaderboard on Saturday with a three-under-par 67 in the third round of the European Tour’s ISPS HANDA World Invitational at Galgorm Castle in Country Antrim, Northern Ireland.

Harding made six birdies and three bogeys to move to nine-under-par for the tournament, six shots off the lead held by England’s Jordan Smith at 15-under-par after he carded a third round 65 to lead by one from countryman David Horsey.

It wasn’t quite the bogey-free round Harding produced in the second round, but he at least left himself within striking distance of the top should the leaders falter as they did last week when he nearly pulled off an unlikely win over Spain’s Nacho Elvira in the Cazoo Open after trailing by six going into the final round.

Jacques Kruyswijk continued his good recent form with a two-under 68 in the third round to move to six-under for the tournament. He was in a share of 17th.

Despite his third-round three-under 67, Bryce Easton missed the third-round cut with his 54-hole total of three-under-par.

In the women’s section of the tournament, Paula Reto continued her recent run of good form with a superb six-under-par 67 to move into a share of 18th at six-under for the tournament. She was seven shots behind the lead which was shared by Pajaree Anannarukarn of Thailand and the American duo of Jennifer Kupcho and Emma Talley.
