Shaun Norris closed out his tournament on the Japan Golf Tour on Sunday in the final round of the Sega Sammy Cup with a one-under-par 71 to take a share of 17th.
He made four birdies and three bogeys as he finished on nine-under-par for the tournament, 11 shots behind the winner Kazuki Higa, who carded a come-from-behind four-under-par 68 to overtake the 54-hole leader Kunihiro Kamii to win by two.
Norris had a tough start, with a bogey on the second and another on the eighth, but he made a birdie on the par-five ninth. But he started his homeward nine with a dropped shot on the 10th. He rallied from that with three birdies going in, on 12, 17 and 18.
He shared 17th with Zimbabwean Scott Vincent, who also signed for a closing one-under-par 71. He made three birdies and two bogeys in his final round.
