Christiaan Bezuidenhout carded a closing two-under-par 69 on Sunday to finish in a share of 10th in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Albertsons Boise Open, the first of the three-tournament finals series which will give the top 25 players at the conclusion their PGA Tour cards.
His performance puts him in a share of seventh on the list at this stage, ahead of this week’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship and the Korn Ferry Tour Championship on September 2.
Bezuidenhout made four birdies and two bogeys in his closing round, as he finished on 15-under-par for the tournament. That put him four shots behind the winner, Greyson Sigg of the United States, who closed with a seven-under-par 65 to beat countryman JJ Spaun England’s Aaron Rai by a single stroke.
The first of Bezuidenhout’s bogeys came on the 12th, where he had a three-putt, and, on the next hole, the par-three 13th, he missed the green with his tee shot and was unable to get up and down for par.
