Goosen just 4 back ahead of final round in Sanford International

Retief Goosen carded a two-under-par 68 on Saturday in the third round of the PGA Tour Champions Sanford International in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to move to seven-under-par for the tournament and a share of seventh.

It was a bogey-free round for the two-time US Open champion, as he had 11 consecutive pars before he made his first birdie on the par-five 12th. He picked up another birdie on the next par-five, the 16th, as he kept himself in touch with the lead which was held at 11-under by KJ Choi. Choi had a two-stroke lead over American Paul Stankowski, Alex Cejka of Germany and Australia’s Rod Pampling.

Ernie Els also had a two-under-par 68 in his second round to move to six-under for the tournament and a share of 11th.

David Frost battled his way to a three-over-par 73 and he was in a share of 69th ahead of the final round of the 54-hole tournament.
