Shaun Norris signed for a third-round 67 on Saturday in the third round of the Japan Golf Tour’s Panasonic Open at Ibaraki Country Club in Ibaraki, Osaka and he moved into a share of 12th at 11-under-par.
It was a bogey-free round for the South African, who picked up a shot on the fifth, and then four more on the back nine on the 12th, 13th, 15th and 16th. That left him four shots off the three-way share of the lead which was held by Hirotaka Ashizawa, Ryuichi Oiwa and Ryotaro Nagano, all of Japan. They were one clear of countrymen Riki Kawamoto and Keita Nakajima.
Scott Vincent of Zimbabwe, who won his second Japan Golf Tour title in less than a month last week, was three shots behind Norris on eight-under after his third-round of two-under 70. Jbe’ Kruger missed the cut.
