Paula Reto overcame a double-bogey six on her scorecard on Saturday as he signed for a second successive two-under-par 69 in the second round of the LPGA Tour’s Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
That put her at four-under for the tournament and in a share of 35th. The lead was shared by Australia’s Minjee Lee and Japan’s Nasa Hataoka at 12-under-par after Lee shot a 63 and Hataoka carded a 65. They led by one from Eun-Hee Ji of Korea.
Reto started her round on the 10th, and picked up birdies on 15 and 18. She made her double on the fourth, and immediately regained a stroke with a birdie on the fifth. She got things back to two-under for her round with a final birdie on the seventh.
Reto was one shot behid Ashleigh Buhai, who carded a level-par 71 in her second round to remain at five-under for the tournament. That saw her slip to a share of 31st, seven shots off the lead. She had a battling round with three birdies and three bogeys on her card.
