Shaun Norris pulled off a top-10 finish on Sunday in the Japan Golf Tour’s Panasonic Open at Ibaraki Country Club in Ibaraki, Osaka after closing with a two-under-par 70.
That gave him a share of eighth on 13-under-par, fives shots out of the play-off which was between amateur Keita Nakajima and Ryutara Nagano. They held a one-stroke edge over Ryuichi Oiwa after regulation play. Nakajima pulled off the play-off on the first extra hole.
Norris made six birdies in his final round as he tried to chase down the lead, but four bogeys – three on the front nine – hampered his efforts.
Scott Vincent of Zimbabwe also closed with a two-under 70 to finish the tournament on 10-under in a share of 14th.
