Scott Vincent continued his great form on the Japan Golf Tour as he closed his campaign in the Vantelin Tokai Classic with a one-under 70 to finish in a share of fifth.
With rounds on 68-69-68 on the first three days, he was always in the mix, and his nine-under total of 275 put him five shots behind the winner Chan Kim of the United States. Kim had a two-stroke margin over the Japanese trio of Yuta Ikeda, Tomoharu Otsuki and Jinichiro Kozuma.
Vincent made four birdies and a bogey, including a run of three birdies in three holes on 12, 13 and 14. But then he made a double-bogey on the 15th, which killed any slim chance he might have had of challenging for the lead.
Add this finish to his two recent victories in Japan, and it’s no surprise to see him in seventh place on the money list.
