Norris moves into top 10 in Japan’s Bridgestone Open

Shaun Norris carded a four-under-par 67 on Friday to move into the top 10 at the halfway stage of the Japan Golf Tour’s Bridgestone Open at Sodegaura Country Club in Chiba, Japan.

Norris started his tournament with a two-under 69 in the first round, and he made an eagle, three birdies and a bogey in the second round to move to six-under for the tournament in a share of 10th. The lead was held by Naoyuki Kataoka of Japan, who had a second-round eight-under 63 to be at 11-under at the halfway stage. Kataoka had a one-stroke lead over Korea’s Dong-Kyu Jang.

Scott Vincent of Zimbabwe, who opened with a four-under 67, managed a one-under 70 in the second round to be five-under for 36 holes in a share of 18th. Jbe’ Kruger made the cut on the number with a four-under 67 in the second round to go with his opening 74. At one-under, he’s in a share of 58th, 10 shots off the lead.
