Paula Reto opened the LPGA Tour’s Cognizant Founders Cup at Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, New Jersey on Thursday with a level-par 71 to be in a share of 56th when play was suspended for darkness after an earlier fog delay.

Canada’s Brooke Henderson and world number one Nelly Korda were amongst those another shot back on four-under.

Ash;leigh Buhai was one of 30 players who were still on the course when play was suspended. She started her round on the 10th, and made three bogeys and two birdies on her opening nine. She had made one birdie and a bogey by the time she had reached the fifth, and had to complete four more holes of her first round.
