James Kingston fell just short of victory on the Legends Tour on Sunday when his closing three-under-par 69 left him one shot behind the winner in the Riegler & Partner Legends at Golf Club Murhof in Murhof Gruppe in Austria.
Kingston had six birdies and a bogey through 14 holes and was on his way to victory when two successive bogeys on 15 and 16 stopped him short. He was unable to pick up any shots on the final two holes and he finished on nine-under for the 54 holes, one behind Scotland’s Euan McIntosh.
One shot further back after a final-round two-under 70 was Brazil’s Adilson Da Silva in a share of third, with Chris Williams in a share of sixth on seven-under after he signed for a 71.
