Nobuhle Dlamini of eSwatini opened with a four-under-par 68 on Thursday to take a share of seventh after the first round of the Ladies European Tour’s Swiss Ladies Open.
Dlamini, who plays out of Country Club Johannesburg, has six titles on the Sunshine Ladies Tour. She made six birdies and two bogeys in the first round at Golfpark Holzhäusern, and she was three shots off the lead which was shared by Sweden’s Linn Grant and Christine Wolf of Austria. They led by two shots from four players on five-under-par.
South African Women’s Open champion Lee-Anne Pace carded a two-under-par 70 in her opening round and was in a share of 28th. Stacy Bregman had a one-under 71 and was in a share of 38th, Lejan Lewthwaite was on one-over in a share of 68th, and Monique Smit signed for a first-round seven-over 79 to be down in a share of 117th.
