JC Ritchie crept into the top 10 on Friday with a level-par 72 in the second round of the Challenge Tour’s British Challenge at St Mellion Estate in Cornwall leaving him at two-under-par for the tournament.
Ritchie made three birdies and three bogeys, and, at the halfway mark of the tournament, was five shots off the lead which was shared by Matthew Baldwin of England and Euan Walker of Scotland at seven-under-par. They led by one from Adrien Saddier of France.
Ritchie is currently projected to return to the top 10 of the Challenge Tour rankings on the Road to Mallorca, with the top 20 at the end of the season gaining their DP World Tour cards.
Not so lucky were Deon Germishuys and Bryce Easton, both chasing a place inside the top 20, but both missing the cut after rounds of 73 each.
