Shaun Norris closed with his second successive two-under-par 69 on Sunday to finish in sixth place in the BMW Japan Golf Tour Championship Mori Building Cup at the Shishido Hills Country Club.
Norris made three birdies and a bogey to move to seven-under-par for the tournament after opening with a three-under 68 and carding a level-par 71 in the second round. That put him four strokes behind the winner, Takumi Kanaya of Japan, who beat his countryman Yuki Inamori by two shots.
It was a performance which lifted Norris to 32nd on the official money list of the Japan Golf Tour after his fourth appearance on a tour on which he has been a dominant figure, but has been absent from for the last 18 months after the birth of his second child and a brief flirtation with LIV Golf.
