Ashleigh Buhai carded a level-par 72 on Saturday in the third round of the US Women’s Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California to climb into a share of 38th ahead of the final round.
Buhai matched every bogey she made – and there were five of them – with a birdie to stay at six-over-par for the tournament. That put her 13 shots off the lead which was held by Japan’s Nasa Hataoka at seven-under after she signed for the round of the day with a six-under-par 66. Hataoka led by one from American Allisen Corpuz, with Hyo Joo Kim of Korea and qualifier Bailey Tardy of the United States in a share of third on four-under-par.
Defending champion Minjee Lee of Australia was on one-over for the championship in a share of ninth after a one-under 71.
