Jayden Schaper had a fine bogey-free round of six-under-par 66 on Friday in the second round of the Barbasol Championship at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky to climb into a share of fifth at the halfway mark of the tournament.

Schaper made three birdies on each nine to move to 10-under-par for the tournament, which put him just three strokes off the lead. Lucas Glover, the 2009 US Open champion, headed the leaderboard at 13-under after a second round of four-under-par 68. He led by two from Adam Long of the United States, Swede Vincent Norrman, and England’s Daniel Brown.

Schaper shared fifth with three other players, including compatriot Louis de Jager, who was also bogey-free on his way to a seven-under-par 65. Also on 10-under were Adrien Saddier of France and American Ryan Moore.

MJ Daffue also had a 66, with two bogeys on his card, to be in a share of 14th. It was a position he shared with JC Ritchie, who had a three-under-par 69 after his opening 67.

Thomas Aiken, Deon Germishuys and Bryce Easton missed the cut.
