Lee-Anne Pace made an eagle, two birdies and two bogeys on Thursday for a two-under-par 70 in the opening round of the Ladies European Tour’s Mallorca Ladies Golf Open at Golf Son Muntaner in Palma, Mallorca, Spain.
That put her in five-way a share of seventh place, four shots off the lead which was held by Kristyna Napoleaova of the Czech Republic at six-under-par. Napoleaova was two shots clear of Anne-Lise Caudal of France, Spain’s Nuria Iturrioz and Anne van Dam of the Netherlands.
Casandra Alexander of South Africa had a solid start with her level-par 72 putting her in a share of 19th. Her score came despite a quadruple-bogey eight on the fifth.
Nicole Garcia opened with a three=over-par 75, which put her in a share of 52nd in the 54-hole tournament.
