Neil Schietekat finished in a share of 24th on Sunday after a closing two-under-par 69 in the Asian Tour’s BNI Indonesian Masters at Royale Jakarta Golf Club.
There never going to be any catching India’s winner, Gaganjeet Bhullar, who closed with an eagle to finish on 24-under-par, but Schietekat would have been pleased with his performance during the week. He had rounds of 70-69-67-69 to be South Africa’s best performer.
Bhullar won his 11th Asian Tour title by five strokes from countryman Karandeep Kochhar, with New Zealand’s Ben Campbell and Spaniard David Puig sharing third on 18-under.
Jaco Ahlers signed off with a one-under 70 for a share of 54th.
