Kaleigh Telfer edged closer to winning her LPGA Tour card on Tuesday when she carded a fifth-round three-under-par 69 in the 2023 LPGA Q-Series in Mobile, Alabama.
Her four birdies and a bogey lifted her to six-under-par for the 108-hole marathon, and that put her in a share of 54th. The top 45 and ties will gain their LPGA Tour cards, so she needs a good final round to climb to better than eight-under-par, which is the current cut-off for qualifiers after five rounds.
The leader, So Mi Lee of Korea, is out of sight at 27-under-par, but there are 22 players at 10-under-par and worse, and that will give Telfer a target in the final round.
