Brandon Stone continued his impressive rehabilitation on the DP World Tour on Saturday with a five-under-par 67 in the third round of the Ras Al Khaimah Championship at Al Hamra Golf Club in Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

Aided by an eagle from the greenside bunker on the par-four fifth, as well as five birdies, Stone also made two bogeys to move to 15-under-par for the tournament through 54 holes. That put him in a share of fourth, but he was seven strokes off the lead. At 22-under-par, after a third round of nine-under-par 64, Thorbjorn Olesen of Denmark was well clear – especially after his bogey-free second round of 10-under-par 62.

Olesen was four clear of countryman Rasmus Hojgaard, with France’s Frederic Lacroix in third on 16-under. Stone shared fourth with another Dane, Marcus Helligkilde, and Spaniard Angel Hidalgo.

One shot back of those in fourth, and in a share of seventh, was Zander Lombard. Lombard had a third round of two-under 70 to move to 14-under for the tournament.

Louis de Jager had a five-under-par 67 to climb into a share of 25th, while Hennie du Plessis, Jayden Schaper and Jaco Prinsloo were all in a share of 32nd on eight-under. Dylan Frittelli was in a share of 77th and last after a 75 saw him slip to level-par.
