Casey Jarvis pulled off a top-10 finish on Sunday with his closing two-under-par 68 in the DP World Tour’s Omega European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Crans Montana, Switzerland giving him a share of eighth place.
Jarvis made three birdies and a bogey in the closing round to finish the week on six-under-par. That put him five strokes out of the play-off between Spaniard Alfredo Garcia-Heredia and Matt Wallace of England. Wallace took his first DP World Tour title in almost exactly six years when he made birdie on the first extra hole.
Jarvis will climb 15 places to 69th on the Race to Dubai rankings, and, with the top 60 on that list getting places in the Nedbank Golf Challenge, he’ll be looking for some good performances over the next few weeks.
Thriston Lawrence, who defeated Wallace for the title in a play-off in 2022, closed with a one-under-par 69 to finish in a share of 27th on two-under-par. He retains his second place behind Rory McIlroy on the Race to Dubai list.
Also in a share of 27th was Brandon Stone, who closed with a three-under-par 67 to stay in 80th place on the Race to Dubai rankings.
Darren Fichardt had a level-par 70 and finished in a share of 34th, with Jayden Schaper in a share of 39th after a closing one-over-par 71. Thomas Aiken closed with a a two-over 72 and was in a share of 59th, and Louis de Jager was in a share of 67th after his four-over 74.
