Casey Jarvis had the biggest climb of 12 South Africans inside the top 25 who went up in the latest list issued by the Official World Golf Ranking when he climbed 54 places to 328th.

Jarvis had a top-10 finish on the DP World Tour, and his share of eighth in the Omega European Masters made him the 14th-best South African according to the world rankings list. It reversed a long downward trend on the rankings, and has taken him to just outside 100 places lower than his career-high of 237th which he achieved when he won the Euram Bank Open on the Challenge Tour in July 2023.

Two other players were up to career-highs: Robin Williams continues his progress up the world-ranking ladder, and reached 278th after his share of 12th in the Challenge Tour’s Big Green Egg German Challenge.

The other was Thriston Lawrence, who is up one place to 61st after his share of 27th behind Jarvis in the Omega European Masters in Switzerland. He remains South Africa’s second-highest ranked player behind Christiaan Bezuidenhout, who is unchanged on 46th.
