The Challenge Tour’s Swiss Challenge at Golf Saint Apollinaire in Folgensbourg, France was resduced to 36 holes by persistent bad weather, and JC Ritchie cared a second-round two-under-par 70 to finish in a share of 12th.
Ritchie had opened with a level-par 72, and he started what was his final round on the 10th with three birdies and a bogey on his opening nine. He made another bogey on the second after turning, and then a double-bogey on the third. But he finished with something of a flourish, making three birdies in a row on his final three holes.
At two-under for the tournament, he was seven strokes behind the winner, Euan Walker of Scotland, who had a 66 in his second round to move to nine-under. He was three strokes clear of Norwegian Kristoffer Reitan and England’s Bradley Bawden.
Justin Walters finished with a level-par 72 to share 40th on one-over, while Rupert Kaminski’s closing level-par left him down in a share of 71st on four-over-par. Bryce Easton was a shot back after a closing 73.
