Danielle du Toit was one of two South Africans who made it through the Ladies European Tour’s Pre-Qualifier Marrakech after she finished in a share of 14th on Thursday at Noria Golf Club.
The other was amateur Kaiyuree Moodley, who finished in a share of fifth at Samanah Golf.
They were two of 101 players progressing to the Final Stage of Lalla Aicha Q-School after the 54-hole competition.
American Annika Borrelli won by five shots at Noria Golf Club with New Zealand’s Amelia Garvey and French amateur Vanessa Bouvet topping the leaderboard at Golf Club Rotana.
Ireland’s Anna Foster, American Zoe Slaughter and Welsh amateur Darcey Harry shared first place at Palm Golf Ourika, meanwhile Australia’s Justice Bosio, Nigeria’s Georgia Iziemgbe Oboh and Iceland’s Ragga Kristinsdottir ended the week in a share of first at Samanah.
Du Toit had rounds of 73, 76 and 75 to finish five-over, while the winner, Borrelli, reached 10-under-par. Moodley had rounds of 73, 72 and 69 to reach two-under, with the winners Kristinsdottir an Oboh on four-under.
Nadia van der Westhuizen finished in a share of 32nd at Rotana, and Lora Assad was in a share of 51st at Samanah. Neither made it through to Final Stage.
