With one round left to play, Danielle du Toit eased herself into a position to regain her Ladies European Tour card on Thursday with a four-under-par 68 on the Royal Golf Marrakech course in the Final Qualifier of Lalla Aicha Q-School in Morocco.

It was a bogey-free effort for the South African, who went through the whole Q-School process last year too to gain her card. With two rounds on each of the par-72 Royal Golf Marrakech and the par-73 Al Maaden Golf Marrakech behind her and all the players, she reached 12-under-par for a share of sixth.

With the top 20 and ties assured of full playing privileges on the LET next year, Du Toit just needs one more solid round to ensure she gets another shot at the main tour.

Things are a little tighter for the South African amateur Kaiyuree Moodley, who had a level-par 73 on Al Maaden Golf in a round which included two double-bogeys. At five-under, she heads into the final round in a share of 26th, knowing that she needs a good round to round things off. She does have a small degree of comfort knowing that players finish 21st to 50th will have a playing category on the 2025 tour – but it will not bring her the number of starts she might want.

Up front, Daniela Darquea of Ecuador fired a brilliant bogey-free round of seven-under 66 at Al Maaden to hold a two-shot lead at the 72-hole mark. At 19-under, she led by two from Poly Mack of Germany.
