Dean Burmester completed a fine week on LIV Golf with a bogey-free third and final round of seven-under-par 65 lifting him into a share of fourth under the lights in the season-opening LIV Golf Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

Burmester dropped just one shot in the three rounds of the tournament, and his 14-under-par total left him just three behind the winner, Adrian Meronk of Poland. The tall Pole won by two from Spaniard Jon Rahm, his team captain, and Sebastian Munoz of Colombia. Burmester shared fourth with Australian Lucas Herbert. There were five players on 13-under in a share of sixth: Spaniards David Puig and Sergio Garcia, Marc Leishman of Australia, American Bryson DeChambeau and Tyrrell Hatton of England.

It was a massive payday for Burmester to start his year, as the $900,000 payout translates to over R16.5-million.

Louis Oosthuizen finished in a share of 25th on seven-under, Charl Schwartzel in a share of 33rd on five-under, and Branden Grace on one-over in a share of 52nd in the 54-man field.

The all-South African Singer GC team finished on 25-under for the week in a share of eighth behind the winners, Legion GC with Hatton, Tom McKibbin, Caleb Surrat and captain Rahm.
