Lamprecht in share of 3rd ahead of final round of Astara Golf Championship

Christo Lamprecht dropped just a single shot on his way to a third-round four-under-par 67 on Saturday to get himself right into contention in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard at Country Club de Bogota in Colombia.

After his second-round 62, Lamprecht’s six birdies and two bogeys took him to 14-under-par through 54 holes and a share of third place. He was three strokes behind the leader, who was Kyle Westmoreland of the United States who had a 10-under-par 61 in his third round to pyll two clear at 17-under of his countryman Johnny Keefer, who also had a 61. Lamprecht shared third with Seungtaek Lee of Korea and another American, Tyson Alexander.

Two shots back, Lamprecht’s fellow-South African Barend Botha had a five-under 66 without dropping a shot to move to 11-under-par and a share of eighth.

Garrick Higgo dropped into a share of 20th with a one-under-par 70 in the third round, and he was at nine-under-par.
