Paula Reto made seven birdies and three bogeys on Saturday to card a four-under-par 67 in the third round of the LPGA Tour’s Founders Cup presented by US Virgin Islands at Bradenton Country Club in Bradenton, Florida.
That lifted her to a 54-hole total of eight-under-par and a share of 10th place with Celine Boutier, Lexi Thompson, Ayaka Furue, Nanna Koerstz Madsen and Lauren Coughlin. She was 10 strokes behind the leader Yealimi Noh of the United States, who had a third round of eight-under-par 63. Noh was on 18-under and one clear of Jin Young Ko of Korea who carded a 66.
Reto had an early bogey on the third hole, but she immediately bounced back with three consecutive birdies on the next three holes, and another on the eighth. He birdies on 10, 15 and 17 were punctuated by a pair of bogeys on 12 and 13.
The other South African in the field, Ashleigh Buhai, had a three-under 68 in the third round to move to seven-under and a share of 16th.
